Secure and Reliable Hosting
All windows servers are located in New Jersey, USA. Windows 2000 servers are updated with the latest security patches. Servers are located in a locked data center that has an alarm system, which is independent of the building alarm system, providing two levels of security. The climate of the data center is maintained at 65 degrees by 2 10-ton AC units. The relative humidity is maintained at 50%. Each server has a UPS (un-interruptible power supply) on an extensive battery array. We also have an emergency backup diesel fuel generator.
Access to the console of the server is restricted to internal use only by our infrastructure. Client users have FTP access to their individual websites directory. Login and password information is released to customers that provide verification that they are the owner of the account. After they are approved, information is released electronically to the designated email listed for the client account.
Our network is protected by a Pix firewall. Individual servers have security controlled via IPSEC. This limits access by closing vulnerable ports. We run backups for all of our machines using Ultra-Bac. We do full backups of each server once a week and we do incremental backups daily. We retain these backups for the period of one week.
Our office is staffed 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. We have two monitoring programs that poll various services on each machine in 30 second to 1-minute intervals. If any service times out or fails we are notified and can take the necessary steps to resolve the problem immediately. .
