Online Mapping for your Business
Google and Yahoo both offer free mapping services. The only restriction
is that the maps be freely viewable and that advertisements may be
displayed. Here is an example using Google Maps using our Minneapolis
address, click the marker in the center:

You can also add custom icons (i.e. your logo), multiple
points and line drawings. If you want to do it yourself, check here
for Google and here for Yahoo.
At the moment Yahoo seems to offer more capability including the ability
to put maps inside Flash and generate driving instructions.
More ideas for online maps:
- Combine
the map with driving instructions sent by text message! See side bar for more info.
- Show the location of special events, workshops, seminars or lectures.
- Show the trip route for a travel blog or hiking club.
- Plot out property boundries for land for sale or for rent.
- Plot out member locations for group service sites like Homestays or Bed&Breakfast.
